Seed Faith Giving: Is it biblical
A) Question…… On the subject of seed faith giving, some men erroneously equate the word “seed” mentioned in scripture to exclusively mean that of money, to the neglect of other clear definitions . In Genesis 8:22 the scripture says that as long as Earth remain there will be seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, night and day. These are literal definitions; all other renderings are implicit and thus subjective. If not , what are the spiritual meanings of the rest of this scripture? In the gospel of Luke 8:11 Jesus says that the seed Is the word of God and the ground is the heart. Lastly, 1 Corinthians states that God always supplies seed to the sower. Contextually, this is the only scripture where seed can be rendered to imply money. To apply this particular meaning in the other texts, would be dishonest at best and exploitive at worse. Contrary to popular teaching, there is no biblical teaching that one can plant a financial seed or money, wait/time, and reap a guaranteed money/harvest of thirty, sixty, or hundred fold. To those that do subscribe to such teaching, I sincerely ask, “Have you gotten your hundredfold return, yet?” Has it worked for you like it seemingly has worked for those that teach such doctrine. Howbeit, We are constantly reminded that God is not a respecter of persons! Right?
The following is an article, in it`s totality, that i`m planning to send to some of our renown Christian leaders, artists and personalities to hopefully start a dialogue about some of the misguided practices and teachings in Christianity. Feel free to comment, correct, or dissent. Enjoy
Questions from an observant and thinking sheep
Looking over the Christian landscape and seeing all of the conflicting and contrary teachings, the divisiveness, the confusion, the disunity, and denominationalisms, I am compelled to question and rethink some of our most sacred and hallowed theological positions and practices… if only to spark dialogue. The scripture declares in john 8:32 that if we continue in His word, we will know the truth , and it will make us free. By equating truth with freedom, it would seem paramount then to find truth at all cost. Sadly, Instead of freedom, most Christians are in bondage…..bondage to men, their doctrines, and their own lack of knowledge concerning the word. By its very nature, truth is absolute; It is my intent ,therefore, to glean from scriptures the truths of God`s word versus the doctrines of men. With this purpose in mind, I humbly request your wisdom, insight and dialogue concerning the following subjects. Thanks in advance, Tarre Stanley

B) Question… On the subject of tithes, some men teach that a tithe is ten percent of ones income and that Christians are commanded to tithe.
1b. Is this correct?
2b. If so, what does the bible mean when it says
The Levites (who were Jews) have a commandment or order to receive tithes from “their brethren” or fellow Jews (Hebrews 7:5). Under the old covenant, only those of the priesthood received tithes. Furthermore, I peter 2:5,9 declares that Christians, who are NOT Jews( and therefore, by inference, exempted from tithing) are a royal priesthood ( or among those who receive tithes (emphasis mine). More importantly, everywhere there is a mention of tithes in the bible( Lev 27:30-32, Num 18:24,26&28, Deut 12:6,11&17; 14:22,23&28; 26:12, II Chron 31:5,6,&12, Neh 10:37,38; 12:44, 13:5,12, Amos 4:4, Mal 3:8,10, Matt 23:23, Luke 11:42, 18:12 to Heb 7:5,6,8,&9) the tithes ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS referred to agriculture and/or live stock but NEVER, NEVER, NEVER that of money, shekels, gold or silver. Money, shekels, gold and silver were offerings that the people were ordered to bring for the building of the temple but NEVER, NEVER, NEVER as a source for a tithe. The only exception to this is Abraham`s tithe in Genesis 14:20, where he VOLUNTARILY tithed to Melchizedec from the SPOILS of war. Additionally, the tithes that were collected were used to sustain the priests, the fatherless, the widows, the poor and strangers ( so that there would literally be provision or MEAT and FOOD in God’s house for the aforementioned people…. Not for buildings, salaries. etc)
C) Question….. On the subject of salvation, some men say once you are saved you can not lose your salvation.
1c. Is this true?
2c. If so, in comparing scripture with scripture and taking into consideration the context of scripture, what does it mean when the bible says “TO” Christians or Disciples
If your right eye causes you to sin, cut it off, thereby preventing your whole body from being cast into hell. Matthew 5:29
If we do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will father God forgive us our trespasses. Matthew 6:15 (To me it implies that if we choose not to forgive a brother or sister, which is sin, this sin will preclude us from entering heaven)
Workers or practicers of iniquity or sin, unrighteousness, wrongdoing or wickedness will not enter heaven. Matthew 7:21
To enter into life we MUST keep the commandments. Matthew 19:16-21
Watch and be prepared for the Lord’s return, lest we be appointed our portion with the hypocrites. Matthew 24:42-51
Only those who ABIDE in or PRACTICE Jesus’ words are his disciples. John 8:31
Unless we CONTINUE in God’s goodness we too shall be cutoff. Romans 11:22
The unrighteous(Liars, adulterers, fornicators, drunkards, homosexuals etc.) WILL NOT enter the kingdom. I Corinthians 6:9
Examine ourselves… unless we too be disqualified. II Corinthians
Do not let any man deceive you, NO WHOREMONGER, DRUNKARD, etc will enter the kingdom, and such WERE some of you. Ephesians 5:5,6
Those who PRACTICE sin will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:21
Whoever rejects living in holiness rejects God, and by inference heaven(emphasis mine). I Thessalonians
If we hold fast to THE END, then we will become partakers of Christ. Hebrews 3:6
Those who draw back from believing draws back to perdition or being spiritually lost. Hebrews 10:39
It is impossible to renew those who were enlightened, have tasted the heavenly gift, were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the word of God and the powers of the world to come to renew them again to repentance, if they fall away. Hebrews 6:4
Beware lest you fall from being steadfast, and are led away with error. II Peter 3:17,18
Whoever transgresses the doctrine or teaching of Christ does not have God or eternal life(emphasis mine). II John 1:9-11
D) Question….. On the subject of wealth and riches, some men cite Paul`s salutation to john in IIIjohn 2 to proclaim that God desires all Christians to be financially rich. Additionally, some report that the wealth of Abraham, which was the purported blessing, belongs to all Christians.
1d. Is this true?
2d. If so, what does it mean when the bible warns Christians
That after these THINGS do the gentiles seek. Matthew 6:32
The cares of life and the deceitfulness of riches makes one unfruitful. Matthew 13:22
3d. Would God have us unfruitful by encouraging us to pursue riches?
Beware of those whose minds are consumed with earthly things and the satisfying of their bellies. Philippians 3:18
Men who have corrupt minds and those that are destitute of the truth think that godliness (Christianity)is a means of gain-I Timothy 6:5. (the instructions from the apostle Paul is to withdraw from these men).
Those who DESIRE to be rich WILL fall into many temptations, snares and foolish, harmful lusts ,which cause destruction and perdition- or the state of being spiritually lost. I Timothy 6:9 (according to scripture, we are not to even desire to be rich) ( thus the popular refrain, “Money! Cometh to me NOW!”, appears to be counter to biblical teaching).
Be content with such things that we have and not to be covetous. Hebrews 13:5
The lowly brother will be exalted and the rich will fade. James 1:9-11
God has chosen the POOR to be rich IN FAITH and heirs to the kingdom. James 2:5
False prophets exploit the sheep with destructive words through covetousness (or the desire for more -------fill in the blank.) II Peter 2:3
In the book of Revelations, the church of Smyrna, which was poor, was deemed rich; and the church of Laodicea, which was rich, was deemed poor ,wretched, blind and miserable.
Again, according to scripture, we are not to even DESIRE to be rich. Despite these warnings, some still pursue and exhort the saints to covet after wealth through their sermons and opulent lifestyles. [Money cometh unto me NOW!] sigh!?
Galatians 3:14 says that the promise was that we might receive the Holy Spirit
E) Question….. On the subject of correct doctrine, some men chastise, rebuke and/or scold those that would examine or question their teachings or doctrine ,in direct contrast to the teachings of scriptures.
1e. If this is correct, what does it mean when the bible says to Christians
Beware of the doctrine or teachings of the Pharisees. Matthew 16:12
Note and avoid TEACHERS who bring about division and offenses through TEACHINGS that are Contrary(different/ opposite) to the APOSTLE’S doctrine or epistles. Romans 16:17
A LITTLE leaven- error or untruth- spoils the whole lump. I Corinthians 5:6
The apostle Paul urges the Corinthians to examine whether or not his oration/treatise was correct, in light of scripture. I Corinthians 10:14
Give attendance to doctrine. I Timothy 4:13
Continue in the doctrine, for in doing so we will save ourselves and those that hear us. I Timothy 4:16
Those who are untaught and unlearned twist the scriptures. We are therefore warned to beware of these incorrect teachings lest we fall and be led away with these errors. II Peter 3:16-18
Contend or fight for the faith or teachings that were delivered to the saints. Jude 1:3
F) Question….. On the subject of the law, some men unknowingly(I pray),and others knowingly place their congregations under a curse and removed from grace by preaching the law.
1f. If these teachings are correct, what does it mean when the bible says
The law of Moses is a yoke. Acts 15:5-10
The law is used to show the guiltiness of everyone and to reveal sin. Romans 3:19,20
The law reveals what sin is. Romans 7:7
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness. Romans 10:4,5
The law is the ministry of death and condemnation. II Corinthians 3:6
Those who are under the law are cursed. Galatians 3:10
No one is justified or made righteous by the law. Galatians 3:11
The law was in effect, essentially, to regulate human behavior UNTIL Jesus came. Galatians 3:19,23&24
After Jesus, we are no longer regulated by the law. Galatians 3:25
The law is a yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1
Those who try keeping the law estranges themselves from Christ and are fallen from grace. Galatians 5:4
Jesus has abolished the commandments contained in ordinances. Ephesians 2:15
The law has been nailed to the cross. Colossians 2:14
Some men stray or swerve in their desire to be teachers of the law, not understanding it. I Timothy 1:6,7
The law is not made for a righteous man e.g. Christian , but for sinners. I Timothy 1:9
God, in another time , spoke to the Hebrew fathers through the prophets and in the last days has spoken to Christians through His SON. Hebrews 1:1
Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant based on better promises. This better covenant is the new testament. Hebrews 8:6
If the first covenant had been faultless then a second one would not have been sought. But fault was found. Hebrews 8:7,8
The first covenant has been made or declared obsolete. It has run its course. Hebrews 8:13
The law was a shadow of good things to come and not the very image and can never with the sacrifices they offered perfect those who practice it. Hebrews 10:1
Whoever keeps the whole law (not commit adultery, kill)yet stumbles in one point is guilty of all. James 2:10,11
The apostle Paul declares himself an able minister of the new testament, not of the letter or law, which is a yoke(emphasis mine). II Corinthians 3:6
G) Question….. On the subject of women and leadership, some men allow women to lead and usurp authority over the men of the congregation.
1g. If this is correct, what does it mean when the bible says to Christians
Women are commanded to keep silent in the church and behave orderly, for it is a shame for them to speak. I Corinthians 14:34,35
Women are to learn in silence and submit, neither are they permitted to teach or have authority over the man , seeing that Adam was first formed then Eve. I Timothy, chapter 2.
Some men reconcile these commands only to the church at Corinth. If that were the case, one could just as well say that Paul’s letter to the Ephesians were to the Ephesians only and his letter to the Philippians were only to the Philippians ,and so on and so forth. Nevertheless, Paul, in his letter to Timothy, which establishes Christian conduct and church order, expressly declares this precept to be a church wide mandate.
H) Question….. On the subject of female Christian adornment, some women(by way of their manner of dress)violate the bible’s clear teachings when it comes to their outward appearance.
1h. What does the bible mean when it says
Women are to adorn themselves with modest apparel, along with a meek and quiet spirit…..not with broided hair, gold, pearls and costly clothing. I Timothy 2:9-14.
Despite Paul’s orders, some women adorn themselves with fancy and expensive clothes in direct opposition to scripture.
I) Question….. On the subject of health and healing, some men say that with enough faith one can guarantee health and healing.
1i. Is this true?
2i. If so, what does the bible mean when it says
The apostle Paul’s fellow worker, Epaphroditus, was sick almost to death, until God, through his divine will, had mercy on him. Philippians 2:26,27
Timothy was told to drink a little wine for his OFTEN infirmities. I Timothy 5:23
The apostle Paul left Trophimus in Miletus sick. II Timothy 4:20
If any is sick among the congregation, let him call for the elders/bishops of the church and these should pray and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord and they shall be raised up- James 5:14,15. Despite this dictate in James, we see those that are chronically sick coming to church week after week until they finally succumb to their sickness. (Of special Note: there is even a special section for those that are deaf, and wheelchair bound in our congregations)
3i. Where are the true elders/bishops that James spoke of?
4i. Where is the power that these men of God supposedly possess?
I recall Paul saying in! Corinthians 2:4 that he did not come to the people with great words but with demonstration of the power of God, thus proving himself to be what he proclaimed to be.
J) Question…..On the subject of true pastors and ministers, some men declare and appoint themselves as leaders and men of God to be followed and obeyed, instead of pointing the congregation to follow and obey Christ. Some resort to bullying, coercion, threats and intimidation (especially, touch not God`s anointed)all in an effort to silence and exploit the flock into submission to them.
1j. What does the bible mean when it says
Our leaders -true pastors and ministers- shall be our minister and the greatest will be the sheep’s Servant. Matthew 20:25-28
They are to teach Christians to observe everything that Jesus commanded the apostles to do. Matthew 28:20
They are to declare the whole counsel of God. Acts 20:27
They are to walk and act like the apostles. Philippians 3:17
They are not to abuse the power of the gospel by charging. I Corinthians 9:18. (I have to wonder about the demands, fees and honorariums of our tele-evangelist). Doesn`t Scripture teach that we have freely received, therefore we should freely give.
They are able ministers of the new testament . II Corinthians 3:6
A true minister is an example of Christ in word, conduct, love, spirit, faith and purity. He is a reader, able to exhort and holds to correct doctrine. I Timothy 4:12
They are to oversee the flock willingly and not for dishonest gain. They are not to be lords or rulers over the flock, but rather they are to lead by example. James 5:1
The apostle Paul was gladly spent or poured out his love and care for the saints through his actions and not just by way of his preaching. Also, by working with his hands, he physically demonstrated that it is more blessed to give than to receive. II Corinthians 12:15 and I Thessalonians 2:8
The apostle Paul and his ministers refused to be a burden to the people, choosing, instead, to labor day and night. Setting an example for those that were to follow. II Thessalonians 3:8
They are to rightly divide the word of God. II Timothy
They are to preach the word(truth) in season(when its popular)and out of season( when it’s not popular or profitable). II Timothy 4:12
They are to rebuke false teachers(see, some tele-evangelist) Titus 1:11-13
They are to be an example in good works, INTEGRITY, incorruptibility, and in DOCTRINE.
A true minister of God has no greater joy than to see the sheep walk in the truth of God’s word. Titus 2:7,8
K) The following questions and observations are just a few of the glaring contradictions that I’ve noticed over the years that I would seek clarification on
In John 14:24 and Romans 8:17 respectfully, it is declared that only those that obey Jesus` words love Him. And that only those who suffer with Christ are joint heirs with Him. Yet many, who are disobedient to His words, erroneously declare that they love Jesus.
1k. Does this ignorance demonstrate a lack of teaching on the churches` part?
Romans 14:17 declares that the kingdom of God consists in righteousness(doing and being right), peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Yet some men would have you to believe that the kingdom of God is synonymous with church buildings, the pastor’s visions, tithing, wealth, health, and riches
I Corinthians 4:9-13 describes the life of an apostle as one being filled with dishonor, hunger, thirst, beatings, homelessness, defame, being a spectacle, suffering as the filth of the earth, being reviled, being made fools for Christ, being weak….. Completely opposite of today`s self-professed apostles
WARNING: Those who claim to be apostles better embrace such sufferings , since the student is not above the teacher.
I Corinthians 5:6 tells us to oust unrepentant, sinning Christians from the gatherings as a true sign of love and for the sake of the sinning person’s soul’s. Today we seem to have no such tradition .
Some men teach on the subject of faith to the neglect of love, (the greatest attribute of a Christian)week after week, after week, after week…..
2k. What gives?
In some congregations, tongues are practiced with the neglect of interpretation of those tongues spoken as scripture commands. Also, of note, prophesying ,which is certainly appropriate for the church or gathering, is conspicuously absent.
3k. Why, why?
I Corinthians 14:26 says that everyone should have the opportunity to exercise their spiritual gifts (e.g. word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, healings, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues, interpretation of tongues, psalm, doctrine or teaching, and revelations) in the gatherings, which is to be done, of course, decently and in order for the edification of all the saints. Yet some men prohibit or limit such activity to the exercising of none spiritual gifts, such as ushering, hospitality, hostessing and to those with singing and musical abilities, all to the quenching and dismay of the Holy Spirit.
4k. Why? Why?
Galatians 5:22 describes the evidence or fruit of the Holy Spirit as being consistent with love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Yet some men identify the evidence if one has the Holy Spirit by that of speaking in tongues, along with violent displays of jerking and emotionalism.
5k. Why? Why?
Ephesians 6:8 says that whatever good that we do to others we will receive the same from the Lord. meaning that what ever we do, we should do it as if we were doing it to and for the Lord, being assured we will reap from the Lord. Yet some men imply this to mean that whatever we sow into their ministry (by inference, their ministry is the preferred source of good ground) we will receive the same from the Lord, some forty, fifty and a hundredfold.
6k. Why? Why?
I Timothy 2:5 states that Jesus is the only mediator between God and man. Yet some men, like the priests of old, try to be mediators between God and man saying that the blessing flows from the head to the body, not realizing that Jesus is our only head and we are his body.
7k. Why? Why?
Hebrews 11:13,35-40 describes a host of saints who did not receive what they were asking for in this lifetime, but instead were afflicted, tortured and berated for their faith. Yet some men teach that faith is a Guarantee of wealth and health, to which the above scriptures plainly refute.
8k. Why? Why?
I John 2:27 says , since the anointing or Holy Spirit abides in you, you do not need man to teach you because He ,the Holy Spirit, will teach you concerning all things. Yet some men say you can’t learn without their teaching. For sure there is a place for teachers and preachers but they should, in no way , usurp the Holy Spirit`s role in a believer`s life
Just like in III John 1:9 where John speaks of a church leader named Diotrephes who loved to have preeminence in the church and one who displayed malicious words and pratings(he even went so far as to put the brethren out of the church who would have received John and his group), there are so-called leaders that respond in like manner to those that would oppose their teachings and theology.
9k. Why? Why?
L) Lastly, Today, Sir/Madam, it seems that some churches and men would prefer to store up and use their resources to purchase sprawling homesteads and luxury vehicles; to finance retirement plans; to bankroll salaries and rainy day funds; to increase their bank accounts ;and to build bigger and fancier sanctuaries -which carry substantial maintenance and utility fees, and consumes a hefty portion of the churches resources- rather than to minister to the less fortunate in the congregation. To be fair, there are those that do give to those individuals that have need. But earnestly, the amount given back represents a mere pittance in the totality of funds collected. Rather than facilitating legitimate requests for assistance, some are quick to respond that they are believing God with you, when it is evident that they have the means to help. Are we not to first minister to the physical needs of an individual before bidding them godspeed- James 2:16I John 3:17 says that if we have this world’s goods and shut our hearts up concerning those that have needs, how does the love of God live within us.
I am reminded of Jesus` declaration that Wherever our treasure is , that is Where our hearts will be.
M) Question…..
1m. In relation to the resources and funds spoken of in statement (L), could not these monies be better utilized by distributing to the poorer saints, the widowed, the fatherless, and those that are strangers among us (just as the apostles did in the book of Acts)?
I mean, what better way to demonstrate our professed love for the brethren, while simultaneously demonstrating our faith in God.
Scripture commands us to charge those that are rich in this world to be ready to give and share.- I Timothy 6:17,18; to not store up treasures upon earth for “ourselves” (Matthew 6:19), rather, to store up treasures in heaven by giving to the poor“( Matthew); to give to those that would borrow…. Neither turn them away-Matthew 5:42 ; and not to seek our own, but to seek the needs and well being of others(Emphasis mine)
2m. Are these suggestions or are they Commandments from the Lord?
While some men seek to use the church and its resources as their personal means to financial prosperity and freedom (while neglecting the needs of the poor and less fortunate congregants in our midst), the apostle Paul collected offerings for the poorer saints in Jerusalem
3m. Do we ever collect an offering for the poor saints? Ever?
Or, are the collections for the “ministry”, (which, by translation, means the church or institution, the pastor and his “vision/s”) and never for the saints, which are the ministry.
I know this is not mandated, nor is it a commandment, but other than in the book of Acts and II Corinthians 8:14,24 is distribution ever made from collected funds to alleviate lack among the congregants and to minister to poorer churches.
Does the church still practice this?
If not , why not?
Jesus said His sheep will hear His voice and a stranger they will not follow

Sadly, Instead of freedom, most Christians are in bondage…..bondage to men, their doctrines, and their own lack of knowledge concerning the word. By its very nature, truth is absolute; It is my intent ,therefore, to glean from scriptures the truths of God`s word versus the doctrines of men. With this purpose in mind, I humbly request your wisdom, insight and dialogue concerning the following subjects. Thanks in advance, Tarre Stanley
A) Question…… On the subject of seed faith giving, some men erroneously equate the word “seed” mentioned in scripture to exclusively mean that of money, to the neglect of other clear definitions . In Genesis 8:22 the scripture says that as long as Earth remain there will be seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, night and day. These are literal definitions; all other renderings are implicit and thus subjective. If not , what are the spiritual meanings of the rest of this scripture? In the gospel of Luke 8:11 Jesus says that the seed Is the word of God and the ground is the heart. Lastly, 1 Corinthians states that God always supplies seed to the sower. Contextually, this is the only scripture where seed can be rendered to imply money. To apply this particular meaning in the other texts, would be dishonest at best and exploitive at worse. Contrary to popular teaching, there is no biblical teaching that one can plant a financial seed or money, wait/time, and reap a guaranteed money/harvest of thirty, sixty, or hundred fold. To those that do subscribe to such teaching, I sincerely ask, “Have you gotten your hundredfold return, yet?” Has it worked for you like it seemingly has worked for those that teach such doctrine. Howbeit, We are constantly reminded that God is not a respecter of persons! Right?
B) Question… On the subject of tithes, some men teach that a tithe is ten percent of ones income and that Christians are commanded to tithe.
1b. Is this correct?
2b. If so, what does the bible mean when it says
The Levites (who were Jews) have a commandment or order to receive tithes from “their brethren” or fellow Jews (Hebrews 7:5). Under the old covenant, only those of the priesthood received tithes. Furthermore, I peter 2:5,9 declares that Christians, who are NOT Jews( and therefore, by inference, exempted from tithing) are a royal priesthood ( or among those who receive tithes (emphasis mine). More importantly, everywhere there is a mention of tithes in the bible( Lev 27:30-32, Num 18:24,26&28, Deut 12:6,11&17; 14:22,23&28; 26:12, II Chron 31:5,6,&12, Neh 10:37,38; 12:44, 13:5,12, Amos 4:4, Mal 3:8,10, Matt 23:23, Luke 11:42, 18:12 to Heb 7:5,6,8,&9) the tithes ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS referred to agriculture and/or live stock but NEVER, NEVER, NEVER that of money, shekels, gold or silver. Money, shekels, gold and silver were offerings that the people were ordered to bring for the building of the temple but NEVER, NEVER, NEVER as a source for a tithe. The only exception to this is Abraham`s tithe in Genesis 14:20, where he VOLUNTARILY tithed to Melchizedec from the SPOILS of war. Additionally, the tithes that were collected were used to sustain the priests, the fatherless, the widows, the poor and strangers ( so that there would literally be provision or MEAT and FOOD in God’s house for the aforementioned people…. Not for buildings, salaries. etc)
C) Question….. On the subject of salvation, some men say once you are saved you can not lose your salvation.
1c. Is this true?
2c. If so, in comparing scripture with scripture and taking into consideration the context of scripture, what does it mean when the bible says “TO” Christians or Disciples
If your right eye causes you to sin, cut it off, thereby preventing your whole body from being cast into hell. Matthew 5:29
If we do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will father God forgive us our trespasses. Matthew 6:15 (To me it implies that if we choose not to forgive a brother or sister, which is sin, this sin will preclude us from entering heaven)
Workers or practicers of iniquity or sin, unrighteousness, wrongdoing or wickedness will not enter heaven. Matthew 7:21
To enter into life we MUST keep the commandments. Matthew 19:16-21
Watch and be prepared for the Lord’s return, lest we be appointed our portion with the hypocrites. Matthew 24:42-51
Only those who ABIDE in or PRACTICE Jesus’ words are his disciples. John 8:31
Unless we CONTINUE in God’s goodness we too shall be cutoff. Romans 11:22
The unrighteous(Liars, adulterers, fornicators, drunkards, homosexuals etc.) WILL NOT enter the kingdom. I Corinthians 6:9
Examine ourselves… unless we too be disqualified. II Corinthians
Do not let any man deceive you, NO WHOREMONGER, DRUNKARD, etc will enter the kingdom, and such WERE some of you. Ephesians 5:5,6
Those who PRACTICE sin will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:21
Whoever rejects living in holiness rejects God, and by inference heaven(emphasis mine). I Thessalonians
If we hold fast to THE END, then we will become partakers of Christ. Hebrews 3:6
Those who draw back from believing draws back to perdition or being spiritually lost. Hebrews 10:39
It is impossible to renew those who were enlightened, have tasted the heavenly gift, were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the word of God and the powers of the world to come to renew them again to repentance, if they fall away. Hebrews 6:4
Beware lest you fall from being steadfast, and are led away with error. II Peter 3:17,18
Whoever transgresses the doctrine or teaching of Christ does not have God or eternal life(emphasis mine). II John 1:9-11
D) Question….. On the subject of wealth and riches, some men cite Paul`s salutation to john in IIIjohn 2 to proclaim that God desires all Christians to be financially rich. Additionally, some report that the wealth of Abraham, which was the purported blessing, belongs to all Christians.
1d. Is this true?
2d. If so, what does it mean when the bible warns Christians
That after these THINGS do the gentiles seek. Matthew 6:32
The cares of life and the deceitfulness of riches makes one unfruitful. Matthew 13:22
3d. Would God have us unfruitful by encouraging us to pursue riches?
Beware of those whose minds are consumed with earthly things and the satisfying of their bellies. Philippians 3:18
Men who have corrupt minds and those that are destitute of the truth think that godliness (Christianity)is a means of gain-I Timothy 6:5. (the instructions from the apostle Paul is to withdraw from these men).
Those who DESIRE to be rich WILL fall into many temptations, snares and foolish, harmful lusts ,which cause destruction and perdition- or the state of being spiritually lost. I Timothy 6:9 (according to scripture, we are not to even desire to be rich) ( thus the popular refrain, “Money! Cometh to me NOW!”, appears to be counter to biblical teaching).
Be content with such things that we have and not to be covetous. Hebrews 13:5
The lowly brother will be exalted and the rich will fade. James 1:9-11
God has chosen the POOR to be rich IN FAITH and heirs to the kingdom. James 2:5
False prophets exploit the sheep with destructive words through covetousness (or the desire for more -------fill in the blank.) II Peter 2:3
In the book of Revelations, the church of Smyrna, which was poor, was deemed rich; and the church of Laodicea, which was rich, was deemed poor ,wretched, blind and miserable.
Again, according to scripture, we are not to even DESIRE to be rich. Despite these warnings, some still pursue and exhort the saints to covet after wealth through their sermons and opulent lifestyles. [Money cometh unto me NOW!] sigh!?
Galatians 3:14 says that the promise was that we might receive the Holy Spirit
E) Question….. On the subject of correct doctrine, some men chastise, rebuke and/or scold those that would examine or question their teachings or doctrine ,in direct contrast to the teachings of scriptures.
1e. If this is correct, what does it mean when the bible says to Christians
Beware of the doctrine or teachings of the Pharisees. Matthew 16:12
Note and avoid TEACHERS who bring about division and offenses through TEACHINGS that are Contrary(different/ opposite) to the APOSTLE’S doctrine or epistles. Romans 16:17
A LITTLE leaven- error or untruth- spoils the whole lump. I Corinthians 5:6
The apostle Paul urges the Corinthians to examine whether or not his oration/treatise was correct, in light of scripture. I Corinthians 10:14
Give attendance to doctrine. I Timothy 4:13
Continue in the doctrine, for in doing so we will save ourselves and those that hear us. I Timothy 4:16
Those who are untaught and unlearned twist the scriptures. We are therefore warned to beware of these incorrect teachings lest we fall and be led away with these errors. II Peter 3:16-18
Contend or fight for the faith or teachings that were delivered to the saints. Jude 1:3
F) Question….. On the subject of the law, some men unknowingly(I pray),and others knowingly place their congregations under a curse and removed from grace by preaching the law.
1f. If these teachings are correct, what does it mean when the bible says
The law of Moses is a yoke. Acts 15:5-10
The law is used to show the guiltiness of everyone and to reveal sin. Romans 3:19,20
The law reveals what sin is. Romans 7:7
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness. Romans 10:4,5
The law is the ministry of death and condemnation. II Corinthians 3:6
Those who are under the law are cursed. Galatians 3:10
No one is justified or made righteous by the law. Galatians 3:11
The law was in effect, essentially, to regulate human behavior UNTIL Jesus came. Galatians 3:19,23&24
After Jesus, we are no longer regulated by the law. Galatians 3:25
The law is a yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:1
Those who try keeping the law estranges themselves from Christ and are fallen from grace. Galatians 5:4
Jesus has abolished the commandments contained in ordinances. Ephesians 2:15
The law has been nailed to the cross. Colossians 2:14
Some men stray or swerve in their desire to be teachers of the law, not understanding it. I Timothy 1:6,7
The law is not made for a righteous man e.g. Christian , but for sinners. I Timothy 1:9
God, in another time , spoke to the Hebrew fathers through the prophets and in the last days has spoken to Christians through His SON. Hebrews 1:1
Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant based on better promises. This better covenant is the new testament. Hebrews 8:6
If the first covenant had been faultless then a second one would not have been sought. But fault was found. Hebrews 8:7,8
The first covenant has been made or declared obsolete. It has run its course. Hebrews 8:13
The law was a shadow of good things to come and not the very image and can never with the sacrifices they offered perfect those who practice it. Hebrews 10:1
Whoever keeps the whole law (not commit adultery, kill)yet stumbles in one point is guilty of all. James 2:10,11
The apostle Paul declares himself an able minister of the new testament, not of the letter or law, which is a yoke(emphasis mine). II Corinthians 3:6
G) Question….. On the subject of women and leadership, some men allow women to lead and usurp authority over the men of the congregation.
1g. If this is correct, what does it mean when the bible says to Christians
Women are commanded to keep silent in the church and behave orderly, for it is a shame for them to speak. I Corinthians 14:34,35
Women are to learn in silence and submit, neither are they permitted to teach or have authority over the man , seeing that Adam was first formed then Eve. I Timothy, chapter 2.
Some men reconcile these commands only to the church at Corinth. If that were the case, one could just as well say that Paul’s letter to the Ephesians were to the Ephesians only and his letter to the Philippians were only to the Philippians ,and so on and so forth. Nevertheless, Paul, in his letter to Timothy, which establishes Christian conduct and church order, expressly declares this precept to be a church wide mandate.
H) Question….. On the subject of female Christian adornment, some women(by way of their manner of dress)violate the bible’s clear teachings when it comes to their outward appearance.
1h. What does the bible mean when it says
Women are to adorn themselves with modest apparel, along with a meek and quiet spirit…..not with broided hair, gold, pearls and costly clothing. I Timothy 2:9-14.
Despite Paul’s orders, some women adorn themselves with fancy and expensive clothes in direct opposition to scripture.
I) Question….. On the subject of health and healing, some men say that with enough faith one can guarantee health and healing.
1i. Is this true?
2i. If so, what does the bible mean when it says
The apostle Paul’s fellow worker, Epaphroditus, was sick almost to death, until God, through his divine will, had mercy on him. Philippians 2:26,27
Timothy was told to drink a little wine for his OFTEN infirmities. I Timothy 5:23
The apostle Paul left Trophimus in Miletus sick. II Timothy 4:20
If any is sick among the congregation, let him call for the elders/bishops of the church and these should pray and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord and they shall be raised up- James 5:14,15. Despite this dictate in James, we see those that are chronically sick coming to church week after week until they finally succumb to their sickness. (Of special Note: there is even a special section for those that are deaf, and wheelchair bound in our congregations)
3i. Where are the true elders/bishops that James spoke of?
4i. Where is the power that these men of God supposedly possess?
I recall Paul saying in! Corinthians 2:4 that he did not come to the people with great words but with demonstration of the power of God, thus proving himself to be what he proclaimed to be.
J) Question…..On the subject of true pastors and ministers, some men declare and appoint themselves as leaders and men of God to be followed and obeyed, instead of pointing the congregation to follow and obey Christ. Some resort to bullying, coercion, threats and intimidation (especially, touch not God`s anointed)all in an effort to silence and exploit the flock into submission to them.
1j. What does the bible mean when it says
Our leaders -true pastors and ministers- shall be our minister and the greatest will be the sheep’s Servant. Matthew 20:25-28
They are to teach Christians to observe everything that Jesus commanded the apostles to do. Matthew 28:20
They are to declare the whole counsel of God. Acts 20:27
They are to walk and act like the apostles. Philippians 3:17
They are not to abuse the power of the gospel by charging. I Corinthians 9:18. (I have to wonder about the demands, fees and honorariums of our tele-evangelist). Doesn`t Scripture teach that we have freely received, therefore we should freely give.
They are able ministers of the new testament . II Corinthians 3:6
A true minister is an example of Christ in word, conduct, love, spirit, faith and purity. He is a reader, able to exhort and holds to correct doctrine. I Timothy 4:12
They are to oversee the flock willingly and not for dishonest gain. They are not to be lords or rulers over the flock, but rather they are to lead by example. James 5:1
The apostle Paul was gladly spent or poured out his love and care for the saints through his actions and not just by way of his preaching. Also, by working with his hands, he physically demonstrated that it is more blessed to give than to receive. II Corinthians 12:15 and I Thessalonians 2:8
The apostle Paul and his ministers refused to be a burden to the people, choosing, instead, to labor day and night. Setting an example for those that were to follow. II Thessalonians 3:8
They are to rightly divide the word of God. II Timothy
They are to preach the word(truth) in season(when its popular)and out of season( when it’s not popular or profitable). II Timothy 4:12
They are to rebuke false teachers(see, some tele-evangelist) Titus 1:11-13
They are to be an example in good works, INTEGRITY, incorruptibility, and in DOCTRINE.
A true minister of God has no greater joy than to see the sheep walk in the truth of God’s word. Titus 2:7,8
K) The following questions and observations are just a few of the glaring contradictions that I’ve noticed over the years that I would seek clarification on
In John 14:24 and Romans 8:17 respectfully, it is declared that only those that obey Jesus` words love Him. And that only those who suffer with Christ are joint heirs with Him. Yet many, who are disobedient to His words, erroneously declare that they love Jesus.
1k. Does this ignorance demonstrate a lack of teaching on the churches` part?
Romans 14:17 declares that the kingdom of God consists in righteousness(doing and being right), peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Yet some men would have you to believe that the kingdom of God is synonymous with church buildings, the pastor’s visions, tithing, wealth, health, and riches
I Corinthians 4:9-13 describes the life of an apostle as one being filled with dishonor, hunger, thirst, beatings, homelessness, defame, being a spectacle, suffering as the filth of the earth, being reviled, being made fools for Christ, being weak….. Completely opposite of today`s self-professed apostles
WARNING: Those who claim to be apostles better embrace such sufferings , since the student is not above the teacher.
I Corinthians 5:6 tells us to oust unrepentant, sinning Christians from the gatherings as a true sign of love and for the sake of the sinning person’s soul’s. Today we seem to have no such tradition .
Some men teach on the subject of faith to the neglect of love, (the greatest attribute of a Christian)week after week, after week, after week…..
2k. What gives?
In some congregations, tongues are practiced with the neglect of interpretation of those tongues spoken as scripture commands. Also, of note, prophesying ,which is certainly appropriate for the church or gathering, is conspicuously absent.
3k. Why, why?
I Corinthians 14:26 says that everyone should have the opportunity to exercise their spiritual gifts (e.g. word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, healings, miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, tongues, interpretation of tongues, psalm, doctrine or teaching, and revelations) in the gatherings, which is to be done, of course, decently and in order for the edification of all the saints. Yet some men prohibit or limit such activity to the exercising of none spiritual gifts, such as ushering, hospitality, hostessing and to those with singing and musical abilities, all to the quenching and dismay of the Holy Spirit.
4k. Why? Why?
Galatians 5:22 describes the evidence or fruit of the Holy Spirit as being consistent with love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Yet some men identify the evidence if one has the Holy Spirit by that of speaking in tongues, along with violent displays of jerking and emotionalism.
5k. Why? Why?
Ephesians 6:8 says that whatever good that we do to others we will receive the same from the Lord. meaning that what ever we do, we should do it as if we were doing it to and for the Lord, being assured we will reap from the Lord. Yet some men imply this to mean that whatever we sow into their ministry (by inference, their ministry is the preferred source of good ground) we will receive the same from the Lord, some forty, fifty and a hundredfold.
6k. Why? Why?
I Timothy 2:5 states that Jesus is the only mediator between God and man. Yet some men, like the priests of old, try to be mediators between God and man saying that the blessing flows from the head to the body, not realizing that Jesus is our only head and we are his body.
7k. Why? Why?
Hebrews 11:13,35-40 describes a host of saints who did not receive what they were asking for in this lifetime, but instead were afflicted, tortured and berated for their faith. Yet some men teach that faith is a Guarantee of wealth and health, to which the above scriptures plainly refute.
8k. Why? Why?
I John 2:27 says , since the anointing or Holy Spirit abides in you, you do not need man to teach you because He ,the Holy Spirit, will teach you concerning all things. Yet some men say you can’t learn without their teaching. For sure there is a place for teachers and preachers but they should, in no way , usurp the Holy Spirit`s role in a believer`s life
Just like in III John 1:9 where John speaks of a church leader named Diotrephes who loved to have preeminence in the church and one who displayed malicious words and pratings(he even went so far as to put the brethren out of the church who would have received John and his group), there are so-called leaders that respond in like manner to those that would oppose their teachings and theology.
9k. Why? Why?
L) Lastly, Today, Sir/Madam, it seems that some churches and men would prefer to store up and use their resources to purchase sprawling homesteads and luxury vehicles; to finance retirement plans; to bankroll salaries and rainy day funds; to increase their bank accounts ;and to build bigger and fancier sanctuaries -which carry substantial maintenance and utility fees, and consumes a hefty portion of the churches resources- rather than to minister to the less fortunate in the congregation. To be fair, there are those that do give to those individuals that have need. But earnestly, the amount given back represents a mere pittance in the totality of funds collected. Rather than facilitating legitimate requests for assistance, some are quick to respond that they are believing God with you, when it is evident that they have the means to help. Are we not to first minister to the physical needs of an individual before bidding them godspeed- James 2:16I John 3:17 says that if we have this world’s goods and shut our hearts up concerning those that have needs, how does the love of God live within us.
I am reminded of Jesus` declaration that Wherever our treasure is , that is Where our hearts will be.
M) Question…..
1m. In relation to the resources and funds spoken of in statement (L), could not these monies be better utilized by distributing to the poorer saints, the widowed, the fatherless, and those that are strangers among us (just as the apostles did in the book of Acts)?
I mean, what better way to demonstrate our professed love for the brethren, while simultaneously demonstrating our faith in God.
Scripture commands us to charge those that are rich in this world to be ready to give and share.- I Timothy 6:17,18; to not store up treasures upon earth for “ourselves” (Matthew 6:19), rather, to store up treasures in heaven by giving to the poor“( Matthew); to give to those that would borrow…. Neither turn them away-Matthew 5:42 ; and not to seek our own, but to seek the needs and well being of others(Emphasis mine)
2m. Are these suggestions or are they Commandments from the Lord?
While some men seek to use the church and its resources as their personal means to financial prosperity and freedom (while neglecting the needs of the poor and less fortunate congregants in our midst), the apostle Paul collected offerings for the poorer saints in Jerusalem
3m. Do we ever collect an offering for the poor saints? Ever?
Or, are the collections for the “ministry”, (which, by translation, means the church or institution, the pastor and his “vision/s”) and never for the saints, which are the ministry.
I know this is not mandated, nor is it a commandment, but other than in the book of Acts and II Corinthians 8:14,24 is distribution ever made from collected funds to alleviate lack among the congregants and to minister to poorer churches.
Does the church still practice this?
If not , why not?
Jesus said His sheep will hear His voice and a stranger they will not follow

Are you taught to examine all teachings to see whether it is consistent with scripture and contextually sound?
Are you taught to put the needs and well-being of others ahead of yourself?
Are you taught that love is the highest goal of a Christian?
Are you encouraged or allowed to exercise your spiritual gifts( word of knowledge, wisdom, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, tongues, doctrine, teaching, revelations) when you are gathered together as the body or church?
Are you taught that women are commanded to be silent in the church, and that it is a shame for them to speak in the church?
Are you taught that the apostle Paul declared himself to be a minister of the new testament, not the letter or the law?
Are you taught to prepare an offering for the poor saints on the first day of the week?
Are you taught ,by the example of your church leaders ,that your church should support the poorer churches or saints among yourselves then increase your efforts abroad?
Has your pastor given himself to you, in addition to the gospel that he preaches?
Are you taught that law keepers are cursed and estranged from Christ, and have fallen from grace?
Are you taught that the blessing of Abraham is the promise of the Holy Spirit?
Are you taught that the fruit or evidence of the Spirit is love, joy, peace , longsuffering,etc.?
Are you taught that the law has been abolished?
Are you taught that Paul’s friends, Epaphroditus, Timothy (and even Paul) were sick?
Are you taught that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for sinners?
Are you taught that Jesus is the only mediator between you and God?
Are you taught that godly women will adorn themselves with modest apparel and not with broided or fancy hairstyles, gold, pearls and expensive clothes?
Are you taught that women are to learn in silence and submit?
Are you taught that women are not to assume positions of authority over men?
Are you taught that the belief that godliness is a means or a way of gain indicates that a person’s mind is corrupt and that this person is destitute of the truth?
Are you taught to withdraw from the person who thinks that godliness equates to gain?
Are you taught that those who desire to be rich will fall into temptation, snares, lusts, destruction and perdition (which means to be spiritually lost)?
Are you taught that those that are rich among the saints are to share?
Are you taught that wives are to love and be obedient to their husbands so that God’s word not be blasphemed?
Are you taught that God speaks to us through Christ and not through the “prophets of old”?
Are you taught that we are Christ’ only if we hold fast to the end?
Are you taught that the Levites have a commandment to take tithes from their brethren, or fellow Jews?
Are you taught that every scriptural reference to tithing deals with food, agriculture, or livestocks, but never money?
Are you taught that the offerings for the temple included money, shekels, gold and silver?
Are you taught that Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant, contract, or commandment , which is the new testament?
Are you taught that the first covenant had faults and necessitated a new covenant?
Are you taught that the first covenant has been made obsolete?
Are you taught about the host of believers that suffered unimaginable horrors, despite their faith?
Are you taught that without holiness, you shall not see the Lord?
Are you taught to be content with the things that you have , and not to be covetous?
Are you taught that the lowly brothers and sisters will be exhalted?
Are you taught that true religion entails visiting orphans, widows and keeping yourself unspotted or unpolluted by the world?
Are you taught that God has chosen the poor to be rich in faith and heirs to the kingdom?
Are you taught that you are not to mind high things but seek men of low status?
Are you taught that the old covenant is a yoke?
Are you taught that the bible forbids a pastor from ruling over the congregation, but instructs him to lead by example?
Are you taught that false teachers and prophets use your greed to exploit you?
Are you taught to beware of those, who through incorrect teaching, twist the scriptures, causing you to fall away and be led astray?
Are you taught that since the Holy Spirit abides in you, that you do not need a man to teach you?
Are you taught that preaching is for those that are unsaved?
Are you taught that the love of God does not dwell in you if you have material substance and do not give or share with those that lack substance?
Are you taught about the church leader Diotrephes, who expelled those that wanted to receive from other men of God?
Are you taught to earnestly and diligently contend and defend the faith or doctrine that was handed down to the saints?
Are you taught to note and avoid those that would serve themselves and their lust by speaking great and flattering words, to take advantage of the saints?
Are you taught to lose your life, to deny yourself, and to take up your cross daily?
Are you taught to distribute to the needs of other Christians?
Are you taught that wives are to submit to their husbands, as unto the Lord?
Are you taught that husbands are to love their wives as Christ loved the church?
Are you taught to give thanks not only in all things but for all things?
Are you taught that you are commanded to withdraw from Christians that behave contrary to the clear teachings of scripture?
Are you taught that the godly in Christ will suffer persecution?
Are you taught that women are to be discreet, chaste , keepers of the home, and obedient to their husbands?
Are you taught to be content with the things that you have?
Are you taught that Jesus is only your Lord if you do what he says?
Are you taught to serve God and not mammon?
If you can answer yes to all of these questions, you are under godly leadership and are being made a true disciple. If you could not answer yes to each of these questions, it would be wise to revisit each of these questions, with the assistance of the Holy Spirit, who leads and guides in all truth, and carefully and prayerfully submit to his teachings and not that of men.
Are you taught to give to those that would borrow, and not turn them away?
Are you taught that you will not be forgiven by God, and thus go to hell, if you do not forgive people?
Are you taught not to store up treasure on earth for yourself?
Are you taught to give to the needs of the poorer saints?
Are you taught that those who practice habitual sin will go to hell, regardless of their so called confession of the “sinners‘” prayer?
Are you taught that riches are deceitful and will make you unfruitful, or unChristlike?
Are you taught that to have eternal life you must keep the commandments and give to the poor?
Are you taught that you must practice Jesus’ words in order to be a Christian?
Are you taught that the only proof that you love Jesus is by obeying his words?
Are you taught that only those that suffer with Christ are joint heirs with him?
Are you taught that seeking God’s kingdom is to seek His righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit?
Are you taught to note and avoid teachers and preachers who teach things that are contrary to the apostle’s teaching( not contrary to your pastor‘s teaching)?
Are you taught to judge those in the body of Christ like scripture tells us to?
Are you taught to examine all teachings to see whether it is consistent with scripture and contextually sound?
Are you taught to put the needs and well-being of others ahead of yourself?
Are you taught that love is the highest goal of a Christian?
Are you encouraged or allowed to exercise your spiritual gifts( word of knowledge, wisdom, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, tongues, doctrine, teaching, revelations) when you are gathered together as the body or church?
Are you taught that women are commanded to be silent in the church, and that it is a shame for them to speak in the church?
Are you taught that the apostle Paul declared himself to be a minister of the new testament, not the letter or the law?
Are you taught to prepare an offering for the poor saints on the first day of the week?
Are you taught ,by the example of your church leaders ,that your church should support the poorer churches or saints among yourselves then increase your efforts abroad?
Has your pastor given himself to you, in addition to the gospel that he preaches?
Are you taught that law keepers are cursed and estranged from Christ, and have fallen from grace?
Are you taught that the blessing of Abraham is the promise of the Holy Spirit?
Are you taught that the fruit or evidence of the Spirit is love, joy, peace , longsuffering,etc.?
Are you taught that the law has been abolished?
Are you taught that Paul’s friends, Epaphroditus, Timothy (and even Paul) were sick?
